Shutting Up, Smartly

I have a new essay up over at Smartly.  It's all about learning to shut up -- or not.  You should check it out by clicking here.

Boy, if there was ever a subject I needed a further lesson on!
Came over from SITS to say hi.

It sounds to me like you have a bad case of humanity.

And I have to say, while I only know your writing, I am quite grateful for some of the times you have chosen not to shut up.

Hi Robin!

Wow - sorry it has been a while... I love the new layout of your blog!

I also love your post... I can so relate... I can't count the number of times I wish I could just keep my mouth shut - but it's like I don't have an off button and I MUST spew out anything and EVERYTHING that I'm thinking at that moment - I don't have a filter AT ALL...

I really love the way you write - you're truthful, open and honest - but most of all you write with humor - the icing on the cake! :)

Great post Robin and I agree with the comments over at Smartly...if you were truly a self-righteous jerk, you wouldn't be so aware of it =)

I probably listen to my voice more than I should, but what do you do when you say the wrong thing and the voice was never there in the first place to tell you not to! I've stuck my foot in my mouth on more than one occassion!
