A Smartly Sub

My essay suggesting that we treat life more like competetive sports (Who needs a sub?) is up over at Smartly.
You should go read it.  It will make you smarter and more popular.  You will sleep better at night.  You'll be able to read minds.

Okay, maybe not, but you should still go read it.  It might make you think.  And we could all use more of that.

I think it's a great comparison. Tag-teaming. As I am climbing out of the ring I slap a high five to my sub and then I can just sit there with a towel over my head while I recover. I would have loved that this week. Loved loved loved that.

I want a soul-less clone who can go to the dentist for me today. :( That's like a sub, right? This isn't completely off-topic....

Wouldn't it be great if we were as free in life as we are out there on the court, throwing ourselves into things, knowing that it's just a game. I play more in life as I get older, run hard and sit down, and throw in the towel and take a bubble bath if I want to, because I'm the ump! I have no problem saying, "Oh, yeah, ran 200 feet without an asthma attack, the crowd goes wild, ..." It's just a game.
